Abstract
PURPOSE:To make simple and to facilitate the work of winding an adhesive tape by a method wherein a beltlike base material with holes is covered with the tape in such a way that its thermo-hardening adhesive agent which has not yet hardened becomes filmily in a punched portion where a bowllike hollow is formed. CONSTITUTION:A base material 1 such as a then aluminum plate in the form of a tape with holes is covered with a thermo-hardening adhesive agent, for instance, a layer made of high polymer of polyethylene series in such a manner that the layer forms a blowllike hollow in the hole portion. This tape 5 is wound on the outside periphery of the panel skirt of a cathode ray tube, so that the bowllike hollow formed in the hole 3 of the base material 1 by an adhesive film becomes flat once by the effect of a roller pressing the film and is allowed to make absorptive action because of its restoring force. As a result, the work of winding an adhesive tape is made extremely simple and easy together with excellent adhesive buffering functions. Thus, cathode ray tubes made by the method of baking-in-metal frame are readily massproduced.
