Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a light weight and small sized battery by using a specific acethylene high polymer having fibrillar fine crystallite as an electrode. CONSTITUTION:A battery is fabricated using acethylene high polymer with apparent density of 0.7-1.2g/cc or conductive acethylene doped with a dopant in the acethylene high polymer as the acethylene high polymer having fibrillar fine crystallite structure. A battery which utilizes the former acethylene high polymer is constituted with an acethylene high polymer positive electrode, a lithium negative electrode, and a lithium perchlorate electrolyte. For the latter, a halogenated VA group or IIIA group element anion such as PF6<->, SbF6<->, BF4<->, or AlCl4<-> or halogen anion such asI<-> or Br<->, or perchlorate anion such as ClO4<-> as a P type dopant and Li<+>, Na<+> or alkaline metal or quaternary ammonium salt as a N type dopant are used. These may be used for positive and negative electrodes, and thus a battery of small sized, light weight, and long discharge can be obtained.
