Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the shaft from corrosion by a method wherein the axial and radial lengths of a sacrifice electrode attached in insulated state near a junction surface of rubber and metal and the distance between the sacrifice electrode and the junction surface of rubber and metal are specified. CONSTITUTION:Anticorrosive metallic material 2 composed of stainless steel and lining material 3 made of rubber or the like are integrally bonded to a shaft core 1 composed of carbon steel. The radial length and axial length (exposed length) of the sacrifice electrode 4 provided on the outer surface of the anticorrosive metallic material 2 are respectively formed d1 and w1 in length and the sacrifice electrode 4 holds a distance l1 from the inclined junction surface 6 of rubber and metal. And these values l1, w1 and d1 are set so as to satisfy the relations expressed as follows: i.e. 3<l1<100, 3<w1<100, 5<d1<40.
