Abstract
PURPOSE: To maintain the inside of a hot stove in a constant temp. range by the use of combustion gas or air, and to prevent its damages by installing a temporary chimney, temporary pipings and blind plates to respective valve parts while there is no need for mixed hot blasts for relining of a blast furnace.
CONSTITUTION: While there is no need for supplying hot blast for the purpose of relining of a blast furnace to a hot blast pipe 34 from a mixing chamber 5, blind plates A1, A2, A3, B1, B2, C1, D1 are installed to required valve parts, and a flue pipe 13, a chimney 9, a blast pipe 7 and a hot blast pipe 34 connectng to a regeneration chamber 1 and the mixing chamber 5 are disconnected from the hot stove, thereby making relining possible. Thence, gaseous B(a) is burned by the air (b) fed from a fan 10 in a combustion chamber 3, and the checker bricks (not shown) in the chamber 1 are heated by the combustion gas (c) produced by this. The waste gas is discharged through a temporary chimney 41. To reduce the temp. of the hot stove, the combustion of the gas in the chamber 3 is ceased, and a temporary piping (not shown) is installed from an air pipe 26 to feed air to the lower part of the chamber 1. The waste gas is discharged through the chamber 3 then through a temporal chimney (not shown) installed between the chamber 5 and a valve 27, whereby the inside of the hot stove is maintained at 575W1,200°C.
