Abstract

PURPOSE:To achieve accurate control of hot water that is heated by a petroleum water heater and fed to fan-coil units, by controlling the operation of the water heater based on both the temperature and flow rate of circulated hot water. CONSTITUTION:A spontaneous petroleum water heater 1 is operated only for a period during which a heat demand signal is inputted from a comparator 2 to heat the water circulating through a supply pipe 4, the fan-coil units 5-1, 5-2,... 5-n, and a return pipe 6 by the action of a pump 3. The temperature and the flow rate of the hot water flowing through the return pipe 6 are detected by a temperature sensor 7, and a flow sensor 8, respectively, and the outputs are inputted into an arithmetic circuit 9 where they are multiplied and that calculates the calorie of the hot water. The output signal of the arithmetic circuit 9 is compared with a set value SP in the comparator 2, and the deviation is supplied as a heat demand signal to the water heater to control the starting and stopping of the heater 1.
