Abstract
PURPOSE:To eliminate an impediment of sealing action, an increase in operating cost and a blowing-through of in-furnace gas and the like in a furnace for melting and processing the industrial waste material as a processing volume of the waste is increased and the size of the device is made to be a large one. CONSTITUTION:Melting furnace A is composed of a main body 1, a furnace chute 5 for introducing the waste into the furnace and a discharging pipe 6 for discharging the in-furnace gas. At the top end of the melting furnace is arranged a waste charging device B. The charging device B is composed of a feeding chute 13, sealing valve 15, drum chute 9, rotary drum 7 and discharging chute 37. The waste and the like are fed into the chute 13 by the conveyors 11 and 12, passed through the chute 9 and finally transported to the rotary drum 7. The waste and the like which are transported, mixed, sliced, compressed and stored are purged by non-active gas, and then discharged into the chute 5 through the discharging valve 20.
