Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain the titled pad having extremely improved adhesion stability with preventing electrolytic corrosion, by applying a thermosetting type adhesive to a bond surface of a frictional sliding material (frictional material) previously molded and a back metal, drying it so that the bonding area between the back metal and the frictional material is cured under pressure and heating.
CONSTITUTION: The thermosetting type adhesive 4(phenol-formalin condensation resin, etc.) is applied to the bond surface of the previously molded frictional material 3 and the back metal 1, for example, heat-resistant fibrous material (aromatic polyamide, alumina fiber, etc.) not to be subjected to electrolytic corrosion is arranged on the adhesive in layer state, and the adhesive 4 is applied to the fibrous material. After drying, the frictional material 3 and the back metal 1 with its bonding side to the adhesive 4 coated with the thermosetting type adhesive 2 compatible with the adhesive 4 and curable are molded under pressure and heating.
EFFECT: Electrolytic corrosion inducing matters in the frictional material are covered with the film of the adhesive, so that rust occurrence is suppressed and bonding shearing strength is not lowerd. The adhesive is made to flow smoothly into the hole part 5 of the mold. Useful as a disc brake, etc.
