Abstract
PURPOSE: To shorten the changeover time, of a parts feeder for a hybrid integrated circuit manufacturing equipment and improve the rate of operation of the parts feeder, by providing preparation stations coupled to a parts supply station through moving means.
CONSTITUTION: A parts feeder is composed of a parts supply station 13 and preparation stations 14. Both the stations 13, 14 are coupled to each other by rails 12, 19. Parts supply units 10 are movably supported on the rails 12, 19. When the supply of parts from the hopper 11 of one supply unit 10 located at the supply station 13 is completed, a motor 79 is driven to elevate the hopper 11 and then move it to one preparation station 14 on the rails 12. In turn, another unit 10 located at the other preparation station 14 and already prepared is moved to the supply station 13 to feed parts. This results in shortening the time of parts changeover and improving the rate of operation.
