Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify the constitution of the angle-measuring device by using a rotary disc whereon a spiral curve is drawn and a fixed line sensor. CONSTITUTION:On the rotary disc 2 is formed a scale pattern 1 wherein R= Ktheta+C (wherein, R is a distance from the center of rotation toward the direction of the radius vector, K and C are constants and theta is a rotational angle). Along the radius vector are arranged the line sensor 3 and a straight fiber bundle 21 the latter of which is arranged on the light-receiving part of the former, and the other end of the fiber bundle is bound in a circle. The light is emitted from a light source 22 to the fiber bundle 21, an output from the line sensor 3 driven by a drive circuit 31 is shaped of its waveform in a comparator circuit and sent to a microprocessor 32, and R is calculated from the output of the circuit 33 and a clock signal of the circuit 31 based on the fall and rise positions of the signal of the circuit 33, whereby theta is determined and indicated 34. Thereby, the constitution of the device is simplified.
