Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable to cool a tubular vessel from inside by a structure wherein cooling parts are provided around a cooling water return passage and contacting mechanisms to bring cooling parts into contact with the inner wall of an object to be cooled.
CONSTITUTION: The one end of the cooling water return passage 10 is open to the cavity 14 inside of an upper header 12 and the other end of the passage 10 is connected to a cooling water circulating unit by piercing a lower header 16. A plurality of cooling parts 18 are provided around the cooling water return pipe 10 radially with the axis of the pipe 10 as their extending center. A curved plate member, which has a curved surface closely contacting with the inner wall of the object to be cooled 21 and has the number N of notched parts 30 at the interval of P, is fixed to each one of the cooling parts 18 at its side surface opposite to the cooling water return passage 10. Said notched parts 30 of each curved plate member are connected to the cooling water return passage 10 by means of the number N of the cooling part contacting mechanism 32. Owing to the structure as mentioned above, the troubled vessel can be cooled from inside and the bad influence based on the change of characteristic of material and coefficient of thermal expansion is prevented.
