Abstract

PURPOSE: To prepare an olefin elastomer composition having remarkably improved injection moldability and the appearance of the molded article, by compounding a propylene-ethylene copolymer obtained by a specific process, wherein said copolymer gives high flexibility to the composition even at a low concentration.
CONSTITUTION: The objective composition is prepared by compounding (A) 1W 80wt% copolymer elastomer composed of ethylene, an α-monoolefin and in certain cases, a non-conjugated diene with (B) 99W20% propylene/ethylene copolymer having an ethylene content of 10W30% and obtained by (1) polymerizing propylene or a mixture of propylene and ethylene containing ≤2% ethylene to form the polymer corresponding to 0.1W3% of the whole polymer, (2) polymerizing a propylene/ethylene mixture containing 2.5W15% ethylene to form the polymer corresponding to 10W80% of the whole polymer, and (3) polymerizing a propylene/ethylene mixture containing 30W95% ethylene to form the polymer corresponding to 10W50% of the whole polymer.
