Abstract

PURPOSE:To detect instantly failure in pulse train regardless of the fact that it is in a constant period and a variable period, by obtaining an output signal and a sampling signal from a pulse train signal. CONSTITUTION:Pulses from a pulse generator 4 are detected for the rise at rise detection circuit 5 and a sampling pulse signal phi1 is outputted. This output phi1 is applied to a switch circuit SW2 of a holding circuit 8, allowing it to control for switching. Further, a detection circuit 5 outputs a reset pulse phi2 at the fall of the phi1 and it is added to a switch SW1 at an integration circuit 6, for switching control. An output signal VA of the integration circuit 6 is applied to a comparator 10 and a holding circuit 8. Further, when the phi1 is applied to the SW2 and the SW2 is closed, the input signal VA is held in a capacitor C2 and this holding signal VA is amplified 9 and applied to the comparator 10 as a sampling signal VB. The comparator 10 compares the VA with the VB, and when VA>VB, a failure signal VC is outputted.
