Abstract

PURPOSE: In an enzymic measurement by the titled device, to obtain accurate results of analysis without exerting a bad influence of oxygen in the air on them, by forming an emulsion of a test sample and a specific solvent containing a reagent, followed by reaction.
CONSTITUTION: In an automatic chemical analyzer wherein an analyzing reagent (e.g., a mixture of NADH2, MBH, L-aspartic acid and α-ketoglutaric acid, measuring GOT, etc.) containing various kinds of enzymes and coenzymes is blended with a test sample (e.g., blood, urine) collected from a living body to carry out enzymic reaction, and the absorbance of the prepared reaction product solution is measured, the test sample is blended with a solvent solution containing a reagent in an aprotic non-aqueous solvent (e.g., benzene, cyclohexane, etc.), and an emulsion is formed, to carry out the reaction. Since an enzyme or coenzyme is not inhibited by oxygen in the air during reaction, accurate results of analysis can be obtained.
