Abstract

PURPOSE:To achieve the switching of input modes from a keyboard or the like automatically, by foring a reflecting plane with different position at each back side of a plurality of data sheets, reflecting the light from a light source and radiating a photo detector. CONSTITUTION:A keyboard 4 is formed to an upper case 2 of a desk top electronic calculator 1, and a number of key tops 5 are projected from the keyboard 4. A groove 7 is made to the keyboard 4 and a radiation lamp 17 and a photo detector 18 are contained in the groove 7. The case main body is fitted with data sheets 9a-9e freely switchingly and notches 9a'-9d' are provided with them. The opening of the notches is stepwise smaller from the sheet 9a-9d. Reflection pieces 13a-13e are sticked to the exposing section at the back of the sheets 9a-9e, the light from the lamp 17 is reflected and radiated to the photodetector 18. The photodetector 18 determines the current value according to the amount of radiation, discriminates the input mode of the data sheet in use at present and calls out the corresponding memory content.
