Abstract
PURPOSE:To avoid the malfunction and at the same time to increase the accuracy of the measurement data, by eliminating the sticking of the residual waterdrops. CONSTITUTION:A light 9 emitted from an optical sensor 3' travels in a glass rod 5 and its travelling direction is changed at a detecting part 2' and the light is turned into a reflected light 10. This light 10 is received at the sensor 3'. When the part 2' at the tip of an optical liquid level sensor touches on the liquid level of the liquid to be measured, the light 9 passes through the glass rod 5' to travel into the liquid. As a result, no reflected light is received at the sensor 3'. The liquid to be measured is sucked up via a metallic pipe 6 and a tube 7A by actuating a sucking pump 8 simultaneously with the detection of the liquid level. Thus the residual waterdrops are sucked into the pipe 6 by the sucking action. In such a way, the malfunction due to the sticking of the residual waterdrops can be avoided.
