Abstract
PURPOSE:To detect the K arm an vortex with no error, by attaching a pair of an ultrasonic transmitter and an ultrasonic receiver to an attachment cylinder provided at the position opposite to the pipeline of the flow meter main body with a vibration-resistant structure. CONSTITUTION:A fluid to be measured is flowed into an enlarged opening part 1 of the main body (a), and the flow is controlled by a flow straightening device 11. Then the flow is throttled at a throttle part 9 having an arc-shaped throttle face 10, and the control of flow is accelerated to cause a K arm an vortex street through a vortex producing mechanism 3. The K arm an vortex caused within a flow path produces an ultrasonic wave by an ultrasonic transmitter 6 of an ultrasonic vortex detection measuring mechanism 5. This ultrasonic wave is transmitted to an ultrasonic receiver 7 provided opposite to the opposite pipe walls 8 and modulated by the K arm an vortex while propagating in the fluid to be measured. This modulated signal is detected by the receiver 7 as a vortex generation signal which is obtained by the K arm an vortex.
