Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide rust preventive liquid for partially zinc plated steel plates by neutralizing aq. mixed solns. of a pyrazole deriv., and aromatic carboxylic acids or naphthalene carboxylic acids with a neutralizer. CONSTITUTION:As the rust preventive liquid for preventing the formation of red rust on partially plated steel plates such as one side zinc plated steel plates or one side alloyed zinc plated steel plates and white rust of zinc plated surfaces by applying the same on the surfaces of said steel plates, the under-mentioned rust preventive liquid is coated on said surfaces to form a rust preventive film: The aq. soln. consisting essentially of a pyrazole deriv. such as 3,5-dimethyl-5- hydroxypyrazole expressed by the formula[I]and contg. an aromatic carboxylic acid derv. such as the mononitro benzoic acid expressed by the formula [II]or a naphthalene carboxylic acid such as naphthoic acid is neutralized with ammonia water or the like to adjust its pH to 7-10. This aq. soln. or emulsion liquid is coated as a rust preventive agent.
