PURPOSE:To eliminate play of a lever driving device between a lever, to eliminate noise and to enhance responsibility of the device by a method wherein a magnetic member made to be attracted and to operate by a solenoid and the lever are coupled loosely, and the solenoid is excited preliminarily weakly. CONSTITUTION:A coiled spring 3 is fixed as to be pulled to the right end part of the lever 1 supported rotation freely to an axis 2, and the rotation of the lever 1 is stopped by a stopper 4. A long hole 8 is provided at the left end part of the lever 1, and the pin 7 of a plunger 6 to be attracted by the solenoid 5 is engaged loosely with the long hole 8. When the lever driving device thereof is to be applied to a non-impact type printer like thermal printer, etc., for example, because there exists engaging play between the long hole 8 and the pin 7, the solenoid 5 is excited weakly always, and is made to be pressed toward the direction shown with an arrow mark A at all times. Accordingly when the solenoid 5 is made to operate by exciting thereof strongly, generation of noise can be prevented, and responsiveness can be enhanced.
