Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a clear picture in any copying magnification, by changing discharge per the fixed period of a discharge tube which discharge a sensitive material in correspondence with a selected magnification. CONSTITUTION:Controlling parts 51 and 52 are supported on discharge tubes 10 and 12 so as to be able to slide on guide rails 53 and 54 and cums 57 and 58 driven by a motor 60 are contacted with the controlling parts 51 and 52 by springs 55 and 56. At the change of magnification, the peripheral speed of a sensitive material drum 8 is changed according to the change of magnification, the cums 57 and 58 are rotated by the motor 60 through a timer 63 and so on and the distance between the discharge tubes 10 and 12 and the drum 8 is changed according to a selected magnification. Therefore, the electric field intensity between the surfaces of discharge tubes 10 and 12 and drum 8 is changed and the discharge per fixed period is changed according to the magnification. Thus, the potential of light and dark parts of a latent image is held constant in any magnification, obtaining the clear picture.
