Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the cost of a head with a multicolor printing free from printing deviation between colors by injecting different colors to common ink chambers which are both independently divided corresponding to nozzle trains. CONSTITUTION:Ink injected from an ink injection port 18A enters the first common ink chamber and is fed to nozzles 32A1-32A5 via pressure chambers 21A1- 21A5. Ink injected from an ink injection port 18B enters the second common ink chamber and is fed to nozzles 40B1-40B5 via pressure chambers 21B1-21B5. In this manner, the route from the ink injection port to the pressure chambers and the nozzles is separated into two systems A and B. This enables the injection of inks different in color separately into the injection ports 18A and 18B thereby affording a two-color printing.
