Abstract
PURPOSE:To secure supply of a constant amount of a necessary fusing material, and facilitate automatic supply of the fusing material by using a specified welding tool provided with grooves, supplying a given amount of lead alloy balls into the above grooves, and fusing the lead balls put in the grooves by a gas welding so as to form connection shelves. CONSTITUTION:Tree-like cuts 10, in which a negative and a positive plate terminal 3 and 4 are fitted, are provided in the bottom of a welding tool 9. The tool 9 also is provided with concave grooves 11 with which a negative and a positive connection shelves 7 and 8 are formed, and either concave grooves 12 in which cell-connection intermediate terminals 5 and 6 are inserted, or concave grooves 13 in which terminal plates are inserted. A necessary amount of lead alloy balls 15, used as an auxiliary fusing material for forming the connection shelves 7 and 8, are supplied into the tool 9 from a quantitative supply equipment 16. After that, each part of the terminals 3 and 4, the intermediate terminals 5 and 6, and the terminal poles, which is located inside the groove, as well as the whole lead balls 15 are fused by a gas welding or an inert gas welding so as to make the connection shelves 7 and 8, thereby obtaining a positive and a negative plate group. Consequently, a constant amount of a necessary fusing material can securely be supplied, and automatic supply of the fusing material can be easily carried out.
