Abstract

PURPOSE:To change a time interval carrying out the photometry of reaction liquid, by making a reaction line freely bendable and providing a reaction line transportation mechanism at the plural photometric positions respectively and using a part of said mechanism as a reversible transportation mechanism. CONSTITUTION:An automatic analyzer is provided with photometic parts at three places and is available for the amalysis of eight items. Then, the first photometric part 14, the second photometric part 15 and the third photometric part 16 are provided at a prescribed position of a reaction tube transportation lane 13 forming a reaction tube line. The number of the reaction tubes between respective photometric parts can be selected in desired numbers by quick forwarding drive to a positive or reverse direction of each sprocket of the parts 15 and 16, and each absorbance of the parts 15 and 16 is measured in desired time.
