Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate the uneven brightness on a synthetic screen, by providing the horizontal and vertical overscan zones at the periphery of the deflection caused by a CRT that forms the synthetic screen and accordingly compensating the part where the brightness is reduced by the overlap of the overscan zones of each screen. CONSTITUTION:A synthetic screen 10 is formed by the prescribed number of individual screens 11, and this screen 10 is projected from the rear side onto a screen to obtain a projection type TV picture receiver. The vertical overscan zones 111 and 112 plus horizontal overscan zones 113 and 114 are formed at the periphery of the deflection caused by a CRT of the picture receiver. Thus a part where the brightness is reduced is compensated by the overlap of the zones 111-114 of adjacent screens 11. In such way, a synthetic picture is projected on a screen with the even brightness.
