Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable to easily paste together color separating filters by a method wherein the color separating filter chips arranged on an adhesive tape are picked up by attraction, positioned on the photosensitive part of a solid state image pick-up element, and fixed using an adhesive agent which will be hardened by ultraviolet rays and heating. CONSTITUTION:The adhesive tape 10 is fixed on a fixing frame 9 in such a manner that the adhesive face is facing upward, and a plurality of the color separating filter chips 2 are arranged on the adhesive tape with their filtering side facing downward. The center part of the chips 2 is lifted up from the lower side of the tape 10 using a stick 11, and the chips are picked out by an attracting jig 12. After the chip 2 have been positioned while the adhesive agent, which will be hardened by ultraviolet rays and heating, is dripped at the sensitive part of the solid state image pickup element 1, ultraviolet rays are irradiated and the adhesive agent is hardened by heating. Through these procedures, the solid state image pickup element and the color separating filter can be formed into one body efficiently, and the solid state color image pickup element plate of an excellent image quality can be obtained.
