Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent a microcapsule applied onto a sheet from unexpected damage, by using as a stilt substance a specified binuclear capsule containing inorganic pigment particles and a hydrophobic organic compound as nuclear substances. CONSTITUTION:100pts.wt. of An inorganic pigment (e.g. talc) and about 20- 1,000pts.wt. of a hydrophobic organic compound (e.g. polyethylene powder) are mixed into an aqueous polyvniyl alcohol solution and crushed in the solution, to form a suspension in which fine particles having an averaged particle size of 5mu or so are dispersed. A colloidal solution, e.g. a gelatine solution, is then added into the suspension, to form a stilt substance (whose particle size is preferably more than about 1.1 times a microcapsule to be used) composed of binuclear capsules in a complex coacervation method. About 5-100pts.wt. of the said stilt substance is then added into 100pts.wt. of the microcapsule. The mixture is applied onto a support. Thus a microcapsule-applied sheet is obtained.
