Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate the mounting of a wiper motor by a method wherein a fastening part for temporary clamping of a connecting link, which connects to a crank arm, is provided at the circumferential part of the inserting hole for the crank arm of the wiper motor at the structure of the cowl panel at the mounting spot of the wiper oscillating motor. CONSTITUTION:A connecting link 13, an oscillating arm 12 and a part of a wiper supporting housing 10 are inserted through the working opening of the cowl panel 4 in a space 3 and a ball housing 33 equipped at the end of the link 13 is temporarily clamped to the stepped fastening part provided at the circumferential part of the inserting hole 8 for the crank arm 7 of the wiper motor 1. After that, the motor 1 with a mounting bracket 23 attached thereto is inserted in the hole 36, to be fitted to the ball housing 33, of the arm 7 taking careful aim with naked eyes to as to form a ball joint 34. Thenceforth, by pulling the joint 34 toward a notched hole 35 in order to release the engagement between the stepped fastening part 31 and the housing 33, the mounting of the motor 1 to be panel 4 is easily accomplished.
