Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a boiled egg having an egg yolk at the center, by passing the egg placed in an egg-container through a hot water bath while swinging the container in a manner similar to the rocking motion of a cradle.
CONSTITUTION: Fresh eggs are thrown into the egg container 7 at the inlet part of the egg supplying water tank 11. The egg container 7 suspended by the chains 6, 6 is taken out of the water tank 11 and immersed in the hot water in the hot water bath 1. The action member 17 is in reciprocal motion by the rotation of the rotary disc 23, and the egg container 7 is swung by the contacting member 24 which is in contact with the protruding parts 18 of the action member 17. When the egg container 7 is taken out from the hot water bath 1 and transferred upon the hopper 15, the contacting member 24 is brought into contact with the lower face of a reversing rail (not shown), lifted to the horizontal position above the opening of the hopper 15, and turned upside-down to discharge the whole eggs into the hopper 15. The boiled eggs are transferred with the belt conveyor 16 and recovered.
