Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain the polyimide film of which the pot life is extended and workability is improved, by imidizing chemically the self-supporting polyamide acid gel film by using dehydrating agent and catalyzer, peeling off from the substrate and heat treating.
CONSTITUTION: (A) Component composed of varnish of polyamide shown in formula (concentration of solid component; 10W40wt%, viscosity; 200W50,000p) and mainly the dehydrating agent (e.g. acetic anhydride etc.) and (B) component composed of varnish of polyamide acid and mainly the catalyzer (e.g. pyridine etc.) are beforehand mixed so as to be dehydrating agent/polyamide acid; 2W16 (mol ratio), catalyzer/polyamide acid; 0.02W2 (mol ratio). And it is supplied to the applying head from another feeding port, applied to the metal drum or the metal belt kept at the temperture 60W200°C and dried. The obtained selfsupporting polyamide acid gel film is peeled off from the substrate and fixed at its both ends by the supporting device like the pin sheet etc. and heat treated.
