Abstract

PURPOSE:To synthesize a picture by varying size or a shape of a sampling image by use of an ordinary TV camera without requiring a special television camera, by using a picture memory device. CONSTITUTION:A video signal (b) is inputted and recorded in a picture memory device from a television camera 8. Synchronizing separation of a video signal (a) is executed by a synchronization separating circuit 10. In a readout signal generating part 11, a read-out synchronizing signal (d) synchronizing with a synchronizing signal C from the synchronization separating circuit 10 is inputted to a picture memory device 9. In a time control part 12, in order to vary size or a shape of an image of a video signal (b), a control signal (e) for varying a horizontal time and a vertical time against readout of the picture memory is inputted to the picture memory device 9. In the picture memory device 9, the image of the video signal (b) is recorded, and a video signal (f) read out by the readout synchronizing signal is synchronized with the video signal (a). Also, by the time control signal (e), when reading out, the recroded video signal is read out, and the quantity of video information contained in 1 horizontal time and 1 vertical time is varied.
