PURPOSE: To save a noble metal by punching metallic billets out of an electrically conductive metallic plate having insulating coats on both surfaces and by plating the billets with the noble metal by means of a barrel plating apparatus.
CONSTITUTION: Insulating coats 11 are laid on both surfaces of an electrically conductive metallic plate 10. Metallic billets 12 are punched out of the plate 10 having the insulating coats 11. The billets 12 are put in a barrel plating apparatus to plate the cut faces 13 of the billets 12. Thus, only the necessary parts are plated, so a noble metal is saved.
