Abstract

PURPOSE: A water-dispersed contact type adhesive with prolonged adhesion retention time and excellent initial adhesive force, obtd. by the incorporation of a chloroprene latex, a tackifier and an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer emulsion.
CONSTITUTION: 100pts., in terms of wt. of a solid resin, chloroprene latex, 5W 200pts. tackifier miscible with the chloroprene latex, and 10W400pts. ethylene- vinyl acetate copolymer emulsion contg 70W95wt% vinyl acetate are mixed. The tackifier is a hydrogenerated rosin, terpene resin, petroleum resin, etc. With 5 parts or less tackifier, an adhesion retention time and initial adhesive force are insufficient, while with 200pts. or more, the adhesion retention time is shortened. With 10pts. or less said emulsion, no effect for the prevention of skinning of the adhesive is obtd., while with 400pts. or more, the initial adhesive force is reduced.
