Abstract
PURPOSE:To facilitate the machining of injection port portion of a ceramic insert, by separately making the cavity portion and injection port portion of the ceramic insert. CONSTITUTION:A cavity portion 5 and an injection port portion 3 are separately manufactured. The cavity portion 5 is seated on the injection port portion 3 so that the inside surface 6 of the protrusion 7 of the cavity portion 5 is in contact with the outside surface of the protrusion 4 of the injection port portion 3. A heated metal ring 12 is then shrinkage-fitted so that a part of the ring 12 extends on the peripheral surface of the cavity portion 5. For that reason, compressive stress is applied to the cavity portion 5 and the injection port portion 3 so that these portions are integrated with each other.
