Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a liquid crystal display which is easy to see by a method wherein the surface of a transparent insulation substrate on which a reflecting metal layer is formed is provided as an irregular reflection surface. CONSTITUTION:One surface of a glass plate 37 is coated by resist and an irregular reflection surface is formed by exposing the plate 37 in vapor of HF system and the surface is washed after the resist removed. Using the glass plate 37 of above configuration, a solar cell panel which consists of a solar cell and a liquid crystal element mounted on a same substrate is composed by a conventional method. Then the reflecting metal layer 38 of a display element shows frosted reflection, so that the display is quite easy to see and its contrast is improved by 40-50%.
