PURPOSE:To measure quickly conc. of substrates n sample soln. by measuring electric resistance or electric conductivity of carriers of immobilized enzyme. CONSTITUTION:An insulating material 4 is provided between the electrodes which are provided with a cylindrical electrode 2 having 6mm.phi outside diameter and rod shape electrode having 3mm.phi outside diameter. And, on the end face of lower part of electrode 2 and 3, 30mum thickness immobilized urease film 5, of which carrier is made of cellulose triacetate, is disposed and are fixed with sealing material 6. Further, as said film 5, the film, in which reactant consisting of polyatomic amine and glutanic aldehyde are contd. in the cellulose triacetate and the enzyme (urease) is immobilized chemicaly by utilizing the polar radical caused by above-mentioned compounds, is used. The enzyme electrode formed by such a manner is immersed in buffer soln. of phosphate and, thereby, for example, the conc. of urea having 10<-3>-10<-1>M range are mesured in a short time (within 1min) by such electrode.
