Abstract

PURPOSE:To playback an audio signal intermittently, by operating a tracking servo and signal playback function at the same time during fast feed operation by a traverse mechanism and rotating the disc at normal playback. CONSTITUTION:Switches S2-S5 turn on, by depressing a fast feed playback indicating switch S1 of a PCM audio disc playback device having a fast feed playback function. The switch S2 is connected to a fast speed playback circuit 13 to move the traverse mechanism in the speed of fast feed. The switch S4 operates a tracking control mechanism 19, the switch S5 turns on a signal detecting circuit 20 to make error correction and compensation via a clock detection circuit 21, demodulation circuit 22, and error detection/correction/compensation circuit 23. The corrected and compensated signals are reproduced with the tracking and traverse control as shown in Figs. A, C, D, E, F and B, and converted into an analog signal at a DA converter 25, and playbacked as a sound at a speaker 27 through an amplifier 26 to select desired recordings easily.
