Abstract
PURPOSE:To produce a toner having superior developing characteristics and stable pressure fixability by treating powder contg. a coloring agent and a removal compound which is soluble in solvents with a solvent while applying ultrasonic waves thereto, and removing the removal compound. CONSTITUTION:Powder materials such as a removal compound (e.g.; various dyes, NaCl, saccharose, etc.), a binder material (e.g.; polyethylene or the like of 10-10<6>cps melt viscosities at 140 deg.C), a coloring agent (e.g.; carbon black, phthalocyanine blue, etc.) are premixed, after which these are melted and kneaded by using roll mills or the like, and the mixture is ground to about 1-50mu. The powder prepd. in this way is immersed in a solvent which dissolves the removal compound and does not dissolve the binder material, and part or most of the removal compound is dissolved and is extracted off from the powder under application of ultrasonic waves. The remained powder is dried, and particles of about 5-35mu are screened, whereby a toner is produced.
