Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable quick sampling of specimens and to eliminate the influence of diffusion between the upper and the lower layers after supplying electricity by employing a migration tank made of a soft synthetic resin or rubber and by sampling specimens in order the migrated layers with a syringe needle pierced through the wall of the migration tank. CONSTITUTION:Dialytic membranes 7 and 8 are attached to the upper and lower opening ends, respectively, of a soft or flexible and resilient migration tank 6 which is formed by a soft synthetic resin pipe or a rubber pipe, such as a soft vinyl chloride tube or a silicon rubber tube, and capable of being pierced through by a syringe needle. The migration tank 6 is inserted into a support cylinder 10 having guide holes 11. A voltage is applied to electrodes 4 and 5 for a predetermined time. After the migration has been completed, the migration tank 6 is taken out from the support cylinder 10 and is securely held by a clamping table or the like. A needle of a microsyringe is inserted through each guide holes 11 of the support cylinder 10 to pierce through the migration tank 6 from the upper part thereof in order to sample the migrated and separated layers.
