Pulses from a pulse generator 10 are applied to the vertical shift register 8 and the horizontal shift register 9. On the other hand, a view finder B has a matrix panel 12 and it monitors image picked up at the solid-state image pickup device A. The matrix panel 12 is scanned with a vertical shift register 16 and a horizontal shift register 13 driven with the pulses from the pulse generator 10.
