Abstract
PURPOSE: To decrease stray light by using spectrometer having a structure wherein input slits and output slits are arranged so that they are deviated in the opposite directions to each other with respect to the planes which pass the centers of diffraction gratings and cross the rotary axes of the diffraction gratings at a right angle.
CONSTITUTION: Light of a xenon lamp is condensed on the input slit Inx by a condensing mirror M. The luminous flux from the output slit Exx of a pumped light spectrometer and the luminous flux which enters the input slit Inf of the fluorescent spectrometer cross at the position of a specimen cell S at a right angle. With respect to the planes, which pass the centers Ox and Of of the diffraction gratings of both the pumped light spectrometer and the fluorescent spectrometers and cross the rotary axes Xx and Xf of both diffraction gratngs at a right angle, the input slits Inx and Inf are located at the upper side and the output slits Exx and Exf are located at the lower side.
