Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain said film having Charpy impact strength within the specified range and excellent tearability, transparency, high rigidity, flatness and appropriate water absorption etc., by mixing aliphatic polyamide and polyhexamethyleneisophthalamide in the specified ratio.
CONSTITUTION: 50W10wt% of aliphatic polyamide (e.g. nylon-6 etc.) and 50W 90wt% of polyhexamethyleneisophthalamide (amorphous aromatic polyamide which is obtained by condensation of hexamethylenediamine with carboxylic acid containing more than 50mol% of isophthalic acid) are mixed and melt extruded preferably at 220W270°C, then cooled to below 45°C and made into unstretched film. Next, after being stretched biaxially, it is heat treated preferably at 130W 190°C and the aimed film of 30W100kg.cm/mm Charpy impact strength is obtained.
USE: Substrate for adhesive tape, substrate for movie film.
