PURPOSE:To regulate the outlet side plate of pass not to generate camber by measuring camber that generates in reversing of a plate and rolling the material in the next pass rolling offsetting the material by a specified amount against the mill pass center. CONSTITUTION:Side guides 2a-2d that act as side guides and for off center setting and motors 3a-3d that drive the side guides 2a-2d are provided in front and in rear of a roll 1. Further, a camber detecting sensor 5 is installed in the inlet side of the side guides 2a, 2c. Output of the sensor 5 is applied to a camber wedge conversion section 11 of an arithmetic unit 10, and the result of operation DELTAH is determined as an amount of off center (x') in a wedge off center conversion section 12. This is made to an amount of off center after correction based on the output of a roll profile operation section 14 in a correcting section 13, and applied to an APC unit 20 as output of the arithmetic unit 10. Then, the APC unit 20 drives the driving motors 3a-3d.
