Abstract
PURPOSE:To restrict generation of sheet camber, and to improve the yield of rolled plate, by arranging the sheet camber measuring instrument, the independently adjustable screw down device, the roll gap set value arithmetic unit, the draft controller, etc., under the specified condition. CONSTITUTION:The measuring instrument 2 for measuring the sheet camber of the rolled plate T, consisting of the camera 21 and the processor 22 for operating the camber, is installed in the reversing mill 1, and the measured value is inputted to the arithmetic unit 3. The arithmetic unit 3 is inputted with the measured load from the load cell 14, the measured values from the gaugemeters 16, 17, installed on the feed side and the delivery side of the final mill 1, the measured value from the breadth meter 18, the measured value from the length meter 15, etc., and operates the sequential roll gaps required in diminishing the sheet camber. According to this signal, the position of a couple of rools 11, 11, being independently adjustable of each other is respectively set at the specified position through the hydraulic controller 13 and the screw down device 12. According to this method, the generation of sheet camber is restricted, no matter whatever the cause of generation of the camber is.
