PURPOSE:To improve reliability by connecting the folded wires consisting of the temp. measuring strands of respective thermocouples in the leading end parts of the main wires consisting of said temp. measuring strands, and forming temp. measuring contacts at the terminals of the folded wires. CONSTITUTION:Folded wires 7 consisting of class A temp. measuring strands are connected to the leading end parts of main wires 5 consisting of class A temp. measuring strands of thermocouples 2..., and the terminals of the wires 7 and the leading ends of class B temp. measuring strands 8 are welded, whereby temp. measuring contacts 9 are formed. Hence, at the stage of manufacture, the main wires 5 and the other wires 6 welded with the wires 7 and the strands 8 are prepard beforehand, and these are buried in a metallic protective pipe 1 by way of inorg. insulated wire materials 3, and this is reduced of diameter, whereby the packing density of the materials 3 is increased. Thence, the connection of the wires 5 and the wires 7 in the leading end part of the pipe 1 is in the leading end parts and therefore the work is easy. Since temp. measuring contacts 9 are beforehand positioned in desired positions with the other wires 6, the contacts 9 are positioned with high accuracy.
