Abstract

PURPOSE: To hide the surface faults present on a substrate uniformly and thereby to obtain an improved surface accuracy, by spin-coating an acryl resin substrate with the monomer constituting the resin and then photo-polymerizing the coated monomer by ultraviolet ray radiation.
CONSTITUTION: A concentric substrate 1 having a clean surface surface-washed with a surfactant is set on a rotary sample mount 2, and then a coating solution 5 containing 1W3% ultraviolet ray initiator is dropped continuously over the entire substrate from a dropping means 4. Next, the substrate is rotated at a speed of, for example, 1,000W2,000rpm for 20W30sec to remove the excessive coating solution. The coating solution spin-coated over the substrate is photopolymerized and cured with radiations from an ultraviolet ray irradiation device 7. The surface faults present on the original substrate can be hid uniformly, so that the surface accuracy of the base sheet is kept within 0.1μm max.
