Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain uniform lens abrasion and avoid eccentric wear by supporting a lens holder which has a free rotation in relation to the axis perpendicular to an abrasion face on a supporting member in a free rotation so that the lens may rotate in one body with its holder.
CONSTITUTION: An abrasion dish 1 is screwed to a rotary axle 2 in one body. A supporting member 5, through a bearing 6, supports a lens holder 4 in a free rotation in the direction perpendicular to an abrasion face 1a of the abrasion dish 1 and off its center. The lens holder 4 is constituted so that it can be moved back and forth in the direction of the axis. The tip of the lens holder 4 is made to hold a lens 3 in touch with the back side of the lens face being abrased. When the rotary axle 2 is rotated, the lens 3 gets friction on the abrasion face 1a of the abrasion dish 1 and is abrased by the rotation of the holder 4 together with the lens 3.
