Abstract

PURPOSE: To raise exceedingly the efficiency of an electromagnetic pump, supporting a plunger within a supporting cylinder by way of a pelophragm so as to avoid the friction caused between them.
CONSTITUTION: A plunger 6 is supported in such that it can be axially reciprocated in the condition of its axis situated in a predetermined position and does not come in contact with a supporting cylinder 1. Therefore, the plunger 6 and the supporting cylinder 1 would not be affected by any friction between them, so that the plunger 6 can be driven by a small energy. This means that the energy of driving signal supplied to a coil 7 can be converted to discharging quantity in high efficiency. Accordingly, the electromagnetic pump having the same discharging capacity can be minimized in its size with the reduced number of winds in the coil 7 and the reduction of the cost can be achieved as compared with a conventional one.
