Abstract

PURPOSE:To read image information to bidirectional movement of a subscanning mechanism, by changing the order of pickup of the video information as each scanning line, corresponding to the moving direction of the sub-scanning mechanism. CONSTITUTION:A scanning box 4 is contained with a pair of light sources 13 and 14 to illuminate an original, full reflection mirrors 16 and 17 leading the reflected light from the original to a lens 15, at a half mirror 18 branching rays via the lens and at foci of transmitted or reflected rays of the half mirror 18, two sets of image sensors 19 and 20 located respectively. When the scanning box 4 moves toward the arrow A, the image sensor 19 reads in the image information, and when moving to the arrow B, the image sensor 20 reads the video information, allowing to obtain correct image information to the bidirectional movement of the scanning box at a discharge paper tracer 11.
