Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the stability and reproducibility of an optical memory laminate of chalcogenide amorphous semiconductor films by using a biaxially oriented polyester film as the substrate of the laminate. CONSTITUTION:A biaxially oriented polyester film is used as the substrate of an optical memory laminate. The preferred polyester film is a polyacrylate film or a polyethylene terephthalate film. The polyacrylate is composed of residues A, B, C represented by the general formulae, wherein each ratio of X:Y and X:Z is 80:20- 50:50, the ratio of Y:Z is 10:15-15:10, n is 0 or 1, the carbonyl groups of the formula B are at the m- and/or p-positions to each other, and the oxy groups of the formula C are at the m- and/or p-positions to each other when n=0 and they are at the m- and/or p-positions to the phenyl groups when n=1.
