Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable metallizing having improved adhesivity and appearance, by making the surface of a molded article of a polyamide resin rough with an aqueous solution of stannic chloride, providing the molded article with a catalyst by catalyst-accelerator method using an alkali as an accelerator.
CONSTITUTION: A molded article of a polyamide resin is defatted with acetone, etc., etched with an aqueous solution of stannic chloride, preferably a mixed solution of stannic chloride and an acid, washed with water, neutralized with an alkali, and subjected to catalyst endowment by catalyst-accelerator method using 5W40wt%, preferably 10W30wt% alkali as an accelerator at 20W60°C for 1W 10min. The concentration of the aqueous solution of stannic chloride is 5W 50wt%, preferably 5W30wt%, and ≤50wt%, preferably 3W15wt% aqueous solution of hydrochloric acid, acetic acid, is used as the mixed aqueous solution of the acid.
