Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent abnormal phenomenon from occurring by interrupting an inlet from flowing water to stop mutual interference between common channels, when guide vanes are not closed.
CONSTITUTION: When a water wheel is interrupted from a power system by a protective relay during a power generating operation, an electromagnet 65T for stopping the water wheel is energized and the water wheel is interrupted by a breaker 52T for parallel connection. Firstly, in a case where a guide vane of one of two water wheels is not closed, when the guide vane is not closed at a certain time in the circuit of the electromagnet 65T by a timer and guide a vane closing action detecting device 74ma, inlet valves 6 and 7 are interrupted from flowing water by an inlet valve closing operation command 21T', and hence mutual interference between water wheels is removed, and abnormal phenomenon is prevented.
